"I desperately want a clean home, but my brain can't process clutter"

My learning disability makes tidying up feel downright impossibleBut it wasn't until hired cleaners refused to clean my house that I admitted I needed help. This happened a few years ago, when my impeccably neat in-laws were visiting from Florida. They were planning to stay with my husband and me, the prize-winning mess who married their son. I was understandably anxious, and decided to be proactive and scheduled cleaners to come beforehand. I knew (and my husband also acknowledged) that even my very best cleaning efforts weren't going to cut it, but I was optimistic that the professionals could get it done.

Millennials just wanna have fun: More are saving for a holiday than a house

Millennials just wanna have fun: More are saving for a holiday than a house It turns out London's millennials have had enough of the City's housing market - now they're more likely to be saving for a holiday than a deposit or a mortgage. Twenty and thirty-somethings across the UK have been dubbed the "vacation generation", as 33 per cent across the nation said they are saving for a holiday while 31 per cent are saving for a deposit on a house, new YouGov research suggests. In London, where house prices are more than double the UK's average, the gap is even more exaggerated.

Research by Which? found that some keyboards can be five times as dirty as a toilet seat! This seems pretty gross when you take into account that 2% of Brits only clean their computer keys twice a year or less and 8% have never cleaned them at all.

The study also found that 10% of people admitted that they only cleaned kitchen worktops and dining tables less than once a month. And even more shocking, three per cent of Brits confessed to only washing these areas once a year, despite preparing food and eating on them every day.

Over 35s came out on top for keeping their homes sparkling. Worryingly though, 10% of 18-34-year-olds only clean their toilet twice a year. And men were found to be muckier than women.

David Tetlow, e-commerce manager at Lightbulbs Direct, said: "It is quite shocking to see how often we forget to clean some of the places we come into contact with the most in and around the home. Light switches could be hosting a number of different types of bacteria, so it's quite surprising that one in four of us cleans them every six months or less!
